Privacy Policy
Short version: your images never leave your device, and we do not want your personal data.
Last updated: August 2026
Your images are never uploaded
This tool removes backgrounds using an AI model that runs entirely inside your browser. Your photos are processed on your own device and are never sent to us or to any server. We cannot see, store, or access the images you work with. When you close the tab, the images are gone from memory.
The AI model download
The first time you install a model, your browser downloads the model file from a public content-delivery network and stores it in your browser cache so it does not need to download again. This is a normal file download, the same as loading any web page; it does not involve your images.
What is stored on your device
The tool saves a small amount of data in your own browser to improve your experience — for example, your light or dark theme choice, and the cached AI model. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file placed on your device by a website. Cookies on this site are used to remember your preferences (such as your light or dark theme) and, where advertising is shown, by our advertising partners as described below. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; disabling them will not affect the background-removal tool, which works without them.
Advertising
This site is supported by advertising. We use third-party advertising companies, including Google, to serve ads when you visit.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
These advertising cookies are separate from the tool itself — your images are still processed entirely in your browser and are never shared with advertisers or any other third party.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to count visits and understand which pages are popular. Any such analytics do not identify you personally and never include your images. Fonts and the icon library are loaded from public content-delivery networks, which may receive your IP address as part of serving those files, as happens on most websites.
Children
This tool is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a new date.
