How to use the Background Remover
The whole tool runs inside your browser. Here is the full flow, start to finish.
1. Install the AI model (once)
Open the tool page and pick a model on the right:
- Standard — the recommended choice. It is fast, handles hair and edges well, and works on phones and older computers.
- Max Quality — a heavier model that produces the sharpest edges on difficult subjects. Use it on a computer with a modern graphics card for the best experience.
Tap Install AI model. Your browser downloads the model a single time and keeps it cached, so every visit after that is instant — and it even works with your internet disconnected.
2. Add your images
Once the model is ready, the upload area unlocks. Drag and drop one image or many at once, or click to browse. JPG, PNG and WEBP are all supported, and there is no limit on how many you queue.
3. Choose the background
Decide what should sit behind your subject:
- Transparent — a clean cut-out saved as a PNG, perfect for logos, product shots and design work.
- White — ideal for marketplace and catalogue photos.
- Colour — pick any solid colour with the colour picker.
- Image — upload your own background and drop the subject straight onto it.
You can switch backgrounds at any time after processing — every result updates instantly, so there is no need to run the images again.
4. Process and download
Press Start. Each image is processed in turn, with a live status on its card. When it finishes you can:
- Click any result to open a before / after slider and inspect the edges.
- Download a single image, or grab everything at once as a ZIP.
Tips for the cleanest cut-outs
- Good contrast between the subject and the background helps the AI find the edges.
- For fine hair or fur, try the Max Quality model.
- Higher-resolution source images give crisper results.
- On a phone, the Standard model is the smoothest option.
